Technology and maintenance
- Odour trapThis model uses MB-ActiveTrap eco (replacement packs 52102 / 52106). URIMAT's membrane trap opens under flow and closes when the flow stops. Its integrated cleaning block limits deposits, and an indicator under the clear cover shows when the trap needs replacing.
- Trap replacementURIMAT gives an average trap life of 7,000 to 8,000 uses, so replacement frequency follows traffic. The non-return valve keeps the drain closed while the trap is changed.
- CleaningRoutine bowl cleaning with a compatible cleaner; URIMAT recommends its pH-neutral MB-ActiveCleaner. Ask the supplier which products to avoid.
- Drain carePeriodic drain-line checks and rinsing, because urine sludge can collect without flush water.
- ElectricalThis model needs a power supply (a 12 V supply is listed in the installation manual). Plan the electrical connection with your contractor.
Installation and retrofit
- Drain connectionØ 50 mm outlet (45° or 90° outlet versions). Adapting it to existing Canadian drain-pipe sizes is confirmed on site by your plumber.
- MountingDirect wall mounting with bracket 58.405; Makro-Fix 58.515 in-wall frame.
- Existing drainsURIMAT's installation instructions call for existing drain pipes to be professionally cleaned when water-flushed urinals are replaced, and drains must not slope backwards.
- PermitsApproval rests with the local authority having jurisdiction; your plumber should confirm requirements with the municipality before work starts.
