Features
Typical commercial applications
Applications are FlowSave guidance based on material and features, not manufacturer claims.
Technology and maintenance
- Odour trapThis model uses MB-ActiveTrap ceramic (confirm with supplier). URIMAT's membrane trap opens under flow and closes when the flow stops. Its integrated cleaning block limits deposits, and an indicator under the clear cover shows when the trap needs replacing.
- Trap replacementURIMAT gives an average trap life of 7,000 to 8,000 uses, so replacement frequency follows traffic.
- CleaningRoutine bowl cleaning with a compatible cleaner; URIMAT recommends its pH-neutral MB-ActiveCleaner. Ask the supplier which products to avoid.
- Drain carePeriodic drain-line checks and rinsing, because urine sludge can collect without flush water.
Installation and retrofit
- MountingConfirm with supplier.
- Existing drainsURIMAT's installation instructions call for existing drain pipes to be professionally cleaned when water-flushed urinals are replaced, and drains must not slope backwards.
- PermitsApproval rests with the local authority having jurisdiction; your plumber should confirm requirements with the municipality before work starts.
